The Regulatory Reform (fire safety) Order 2005
In 2006 fire authorities stopped issuing fire certificates for commercial and public buildings. Instead, The Regulatory Reform (fire safety) Order made it mandatory that a fire Risk Assessment is carried out, by a ‘competent person’. The person who has responsibility for the premises must then ensure compliance with the requirements of that Risk Assessment.
As enforcers of fire law, the London Fire Brigade can prosecute companies or individuals where serious or repeated breaches of the Order are found. There have been a number of cases in which courts - aside from issuing large fines - have also passed jail sentences for failing to meet current fire safety laws.

dry and wet risers.
Fires safety and drill
Suitability: Those providing induction training. Those required
to
initiate fire drill training on a six monthly basis.
Content: Fire safety and drill procedures including evacuation
measures.
Fire Safety Management
Suitability: Supervisors and senior managers.
Content: Responsibility for safety measures.
